UN batterie Li-polymère is a type of chemical battery. Compared to conventional batteries, they are characterized by higher energy, smaller size, and lighter weight.

Three elements of a battery.
The three elements of the battery are a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte. Lithium-polymer batteries are battery systems that use a polymer material for at least one of three elements. In lithium polymer battery systems, most polymer materials are used for the anode and electrolyte. The anode materials are conductive polymers and inorganic compounds commonly used in li-polymer batteries. Lithium metals and lithium inter carbon compounds are often applied to the anode. The electrolytes are used as solid or colloidal polymer electrolytes or organic electrolytes. Li-polymer batteries are more reliable and stable because they contain no excess electrolytes.

Classification.
Li-polymer batteries can be classified into three categories by electrolyte. Gel polymer electrolyte lithium-ion battery. It is a solid polymer electrolyte with additives to improve ionic conductivity. That battery can be used at room temperature.

Solid polymer electrolyte lithium-ion battery.

The electrolyte is a mixture of polymers and salts. It has low ion conductivity at room temperature and is suitable for high-temperature use.

Composite gel polymer lithium-ion battery into negative electrode material.

The conductive li-polymer batteries are an anode material. The specific energy is three times that of conventional li-polymer batteries. It’s the latest generation of li-polymer batteries.

There are two types of li-polymer batteries: liquid li-polymer batteries (LIB) and li-polymer batteries (PLIB). Liquid li-polymer batteries are secondary batteries with a compound containing Li+ as both positive and negative electrodes. The positive electrode is composed of the lithium compound LiCoO2, Linio2, or Limn2O4, and the negative electrode is composed of the lithium-to-carbon compound LiXC6.

The principle of a li-polymer battery is the same as that of liquid lithium. The most important difference is that the electrolyte is different from liquid lithium. The main battery requirements include three elements: the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and the electrolyte. The so-called li-polymer battery means that at least one of these three primary structures USES a polymer material as the primary battery system. In the li-polymer batteries system developed, polymer materials are mainly used for the cathode and electrolyte. Anode materials include conductive polymers and inorganic compounds used in typical li-polymer batteries. The electrolyte may be a solid or colloidal polymer electrolyte or an organic electrolyte. Typical lithium-ion technologies use liquid or colloidal electrolytes. Strong secondary packaging is therefore required to contain flammable active ingredients. This adds weight and further limits the flexibility of the size.

Nomenclature.
Li-polymer batteries are typically named using six to seven digits of thickness, width, and height, respectively. For example, the PL6567100 represents a li-polymer battery that is 6.5mm thick, 67mm wide, and 100mm high. Here PL indicates that the battery belongs to the polymer category. Lithium-ion polymer battery production processes typically use laminated soft packaging. Therefore, resizing is very flexible and convenient, and the models are relatively many.
